About David Li

David Li began his formal education in acupuncture and Chinese medicine from 1982 at The Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, one of the three top Chinese medical schools in China. 

Following five years of comprehensive study in Western medicine and Chinese medicine, David Li practiced at The Guangdong Province Hospital of TCM and The Taishan City Hospital of TCM for 5 years in orthopedic surgery and pain management. 

David Li began his practice in the United States in 1993. He worked in Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City as a certified surgical technologist for five years and established his clinic in Brooklyn in 1996. David Li is a New York State licensed acupuncturist and Board-certified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbology. Besides his clinic practice, David Li was a professor and taught acupuncture and Chinese medicine in the American International Acupuncture Institute. On April 2008, David opened and moved to his new modern office at 7104 18th Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11204. This over 2500 sf office provides acupuncture, Chinese herbs, acupressure massage and Spa facial services under one roof.

In May 2018, David Li was elected to be a president of United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA). UANYSLA is NY state licensed acupuncture association with over 25 years history. As a leader of NYS acupuncture association, David Li participates in acupuncture legislation to promote acupuncture in Federal Medicare coverage, veteran healthcare coverage, NYS worker's compensation coverage and commercial health insurance coverages. 

David Li is the year 2021 Executive Chairman of the World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society and the Chief Director of Membership Verification Committee of the World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society. David Li also an Executive Committee Member of Presidium in WFCMS (World Federation of Chinese Medicine Society), a chairman of AAPAS (American Alliance for Professional Acupuncture Safety), The Executive Council member of Specialty committee of Anti-aging of WFCMS, The Executive Council member of Specialty committee of Dose-Response Relationship Study on Chinese Prescription of WFCMS and the Executive Council Member of Specialty Committee of Endocrine of WFCMS.  In June 2021, David Li was awarded the gold medal of The President's Volunteer Service Award from the president of United State, as recognition for his excellent and outstanding contributions to acupuncture profession and community. 

With over 30 years clinical and teaching experience, David Li has gained his respectable reputation in New York metropolitan area. 
李旭辉医师，八七年毕业于广州中医药大学，曾任职台山市中医院医师，纽约市表维医院外科技师，纽约州执照针灸医师。行医三十年余，声誉鹊起，曾任教美国国际针灸学院，任纽约州执照针灸医师联合公会第十一届十二届会长，美国职业针灸安全联盟主席，世界针灸联合会2021年执行主席，世界针灸联合会会员资格审核委员会主任, 世界中医药学会联合会主席团执委，世中联内分泌专科委员会常务理事，世界中医药学会联合会抗衰老专业委员会常务理事, 世中联方药量效委员会常务理事。擅长中医针灸治疗各类痛症和心理精神类疾病。
为表彰李旭辉医师近二十多年来为针灸行业和社区服务作出的杰出贡献，2021年六月美国拜登总统授予李旭辉医师总统义工服务奖的金牌奖。
